'Use Your Illusion' is the 2009 theme. Conga Line Costume Contest judges Kim Alexander of Great Country 107.7 and
Gettysburg Times' reporter Scot Pitzer will be handing out cash prizes for the most creative, scariest, sexiest, celebrity look-alike, couple, group theme (3 or more) and best of Party. According to event chair Darlene Brown, "Although it's fun to come in costume, if party-goers prefer another option, formal wear and a mask is fine, too."
Major event sponsors are Just Jennifer Gallery and Framery, Pennsylvania Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, 3rd Idea Advertising and Marketing, L & H Mechanical and Electrical Services, and Battlefield Harley-Davidson.
In an election year, Barack Obama with security detail campaigned in Gettysburg and won a top prize at the Arts Council's 2008 Masquerade Party.
