For the month of June, Temperatures Will Be below Average and Precipitation Will Be Average.

Weather Watch: Fair and very warm (1) with light rain or drizzle and mild temperatures (2,3,4). Warmer and humid along with Storms (5,6) with fair and comfortable weather to follow (7,8). Showers (9,10,11) turning fair and very warm (12,13,14). More showers and Storms (15,16) and again, fair and very warm temperatures (17,18,19,20). Showers and Storms continue (21,22) with more fair and very warm weather (23,24). Hazy, hot, and humid (25,26,27,28) with more showers and Storms at the end of the month (29,30)

Tornado Watch: There is tornado activity forecasted for the month of June on or about the 5th and 6th.

Full Moon: June's Full Moon occurs on June 3rd at 4:20 AM. It is sometimes referred to as the Strawberry Moon because of the many strawberry blossoms that make their appearance during this time. It is also called the Full Rose Moon because roses tend to bloom at the beginning of June.

Special Notes: Many states allow fishing without a license during certain days of June. Check with your local fishing shop or your state's Department of Natural Resources for specific dates and good luck!

Holidays: Honor our flag on Flag Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, June 14th. Be sure to fly Old Glory properly and with pride! Remember your dad on his day, Father's Day, which falls on Sunday, June 20th in 2004. Do something nice for him and he will appreciate it.

The Garden: Use fresh potting soil when planting containers. Always inspect your lawn thoroughly for grubs throughout the growing season. Working in the garden when leaves are wet can help spread many diseases. Wait until the foliage is dry before walking through the garden. Remember to cut flowers for fresh indoor arrangements early in the morning.
