Mrs. Lucy R. Bollinger Davis, 78, of Frederick died on Friday, Feb. 29, at Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,
Walkersville. She was the wife of the late Jack L. Davis, who died in 1992.
Born on July 3, 1929, in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Margaretta Larue Creager Bollinger. She was
a homemaker. Mrs. Davis attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Frederick for many years. She worked in Hagerstown for several years as a beautician.
She worked at the Communications Division at Fort Detrick as a switchboard operator. She was a member of A.A.R.P. She enjoyed helping others, flowers,
gardening, needle work and crochet.
Surviving are a son, Charles E. Davis and his wife, Karen L., of Thurmont; a daughter, Peggy Jo Teague and her husband, Timothy
W., of Forest Hill; four grandchildren, Jenna and Jared Davis, and Justin and Kayla Teague; three sisters, Mary Dinterman of Thurmont, Anna Seiss of
Emmitsburg, and Thelma Miller of Leisure Creek Michigan. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Guy and Henry Bollinger.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike,
Frederick, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, with Rev. Ron Reaves officiating.
Interment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
