Mr. Robert Keilholtz

Mr. Robert Edward Keilholtz, 79, of Rocky Ridge, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Frederick Memorial
Hospital. He was the husband of Jean E. Cutsail Keilholtz, his wife of 40 years.
Born June 18, 1929 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late C.C. "Bill" and Dulcie Larue Burdette Keilholtz.
Robert purchased Beall's Express in the 1960's, established Blue Mtn. Express. He was well-known in the region and the trucking industry -- not only
owning his own trucking company for many years, but for also driving millions of miles throughout the continental United States.
Mr. Keilholtz was a lifelong member of the Graceham Moravian Church serving in many different capacities. He was a member of Acacia Lodge # 155,
achieving the 32 Degree and he received his 50-year pin two years ago.
Mr. Keilholtz was an avid hunter, hunting mostly in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wyoming. He particularly loved Wyoming and had many friends
there. Robert was one of the very few people east of the Mississippi to earn a Wyoming Guide License. He spent many days and weeks in the wilderness
with his friends, John Winter and Bob Smiley.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Robert E. Keilholtz Jr. and wife, Pennie of Fairfield, Pa., Gwendolyn Ann Frey and husband,
Charles of Thurmont and Michael C. Keilholtz of Emmitsburg; seven grandchildren, Susan Small and husband, Shane of Waynesboro, Pa., Jonathan Frey of
Muncie, Ind., Megan Keilholtz, Todd Frey, Gretchen Keilholtz all of Thurmont, Ethan David Long of Sabillasville and Katelyn Keilholtz of Thurmont; a
great-granddaughter, Anabelle Small; and one sister, Shirley Tressler and husband, Larry of Frederick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Keilholtz was preceded in death by his son, John David Keilholtz and brother, William Keilholtz. He will also be remembered by several devoted
friends, Vernon Keilholtz, Chet Zentz, Joe Eyler, Jim Bentz and his caregiver of several years, Bonnie Jaques.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Graceham Moravian Church, 8231A Rocky Ridge Road, Thurmont with Rev. Jeff Gehris
