Mr. Ralph A. Dinterman, 91, of New Oxford, Pa., formerly of Taneytown, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at the Brethren Home at Cross Keys, New Oxford, Pa.
Born Feb. 20, 1919, in Rocky Ridge, Frederick County, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Nettie (Stambaugh) Dinterman.
Ralph was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taneytown and was a retired U.S. government employee with the soil conservation service. Ralph was a broom
maker at the Carroll County Farm Museum for many years. He loved square dancing, playing cards and dominoes, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters Joan S. Wilhide and husband Wayne of Keymar, and Diana A. Keyser and husband Brian of Hagerstown; sister, Anna Belle Houck of Rocky Ridge; grandchildren, Kristina Athey, Tim Keyser, Marsha McNeil, Stephanie Savick, Steve
Wilhide and Vincent Wilhide; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Donald and Leroy Dinterman.
