Originally Published in the Emmitsburg Chronicle March 11, 1921

Mrs. Helen D. Morrison, wife of Mr. William D. Morrison, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. A. Horner on West Main street Wednesday. She is survived by her husband, three daughters—Mrs. J. Stewart Annan, Mrs. A. A. Horner, Mrs. Thomas Baumgardner and one son, Mr. William Morrison of Baltimore.

Mrs. Morrison was 74 years of age and was born in Emmitsburg where she had been a life-long resident. She was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church, actively: engaged in the Missionary meetings and the Mite society work, up to the time of her failing health. Although she never took any active part in the civic affairs of the town, she was ardent in its work and much interested in any movement for the good of the community in which she lived and died.

Mrs. Morrison had been sick since last September, but with wonderful vitality was able to be about from time to time. The funeral of Mrs. Morrison took place this afternoon with services at the house conducted by the Rev. John Chase, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Intermittent in Presbyterian cemetery. The pall-bearers were all grand-sons of Mrs. Morrison. Messrs. J. C. Annan, William Morrison, Harry McNair, Johnson Morrison, Clarence Baumgardner and Carroll Baumgardner.
