Emmitsburg Boy and Cub Scouts: Emmitsburg has a thriving Scouting program, including a Cub Scout Pack (for boys in grades 1st
through 5th) and a Boy Scout Troop (for boys 6th grade through age 18.) Anyone interested in joining, as either a scout or an adult volunteer, can contact John Slotwinski (john.slotwinski@nist.gov) for more information.

watersheds.

- Strawberry Hill: Strawberry Hill Nature Center is a member-supported nonprofit education and conservation organization. We are located at 1537 Mount Hope Road in Fairfield, approximately 15
minutes west of Gettysburg. We offer more than ten miles of walking trails through 600 acres of wooded hillsides and mountain streams, a historic log cabin, a picnic area, and a nature center. Educational programs and special events are offered year-round. Our grounds are
free and open to everyone from dawn until dusk and office hours are Monday-Friday, and most Saturdays, 9am-4pm.
