Spring really is around the corner. It has just been a big corner this year. Be ready to get out there and start
walking when all the snow melts. A treadmill or exercise bike is a great way to keep in shape over the winter. If you don't have either of
these machines, make your own exercise routine right in your house. There are many tapes out there to give you ideas if you like to follow
a routine or just make up your own. The important thing is to keep moving. Even if you feel tired and have no energy, make yourself do
something for at least 10 minutes. If, after 10 minutes you really don't feel up to going on, stop for a while and try later. Most of the time,
if you exercise for 10 minutes you will feel like continuing.
Marching in place or walking through the house is a great way to start. Get creative and make up some moves of
your own. Try some little dance moves. Grab some dumbbells or a can of soup to add some resistance. You will be surprised how this little
bit of movement will give you energy and make you feel better. Set aside the same time each day or every other day. Make an appointment
with yourself or a friend to exercise, then enjoy your newfound energy and satisfaction.
Start out slow and add more time or exercises, as you feel ready. Soon, you will look forward to your workout. If
you have any questions, check with your doctor or explore the video section of your local store to guide you slowly to a healthy, active
lifestyle.
