STREETS:

Staff
repaired street lights on East & West Main
Street

Installed a new stop sign at East Lincoln Ave
& Chesapeake St.

Decorated the Community Center for Christmas
WATER:

Staff
replaced the multi-media in the roughing filters
with sand & anthracite and those filters are
continuing to operate much better

Staff
is working with the rehab contractor related to
the 500,000 gal. storage tank and the recoating of
the interior of that tank

Staff
has taken the drinking water lead & copper
samples as a follow-up to the January-June 2004
period samples

The
contractor has completed the demolition of the old
water treatment plant
-
Water
production & Consumption: We produced
and purchased an average of 33,390 gpd. We
consumed an average of 327,706 gpd. Up due
to a major leak at the Provincial House. The
difference is "Back wash water" ---
(2%). Due to the rehab of the 500,000 gal
storage tank we purchased 1,779,530 gals. of water
from MSM this month.

of this water came from wells; 21% came from Mt.
St. Mary's and 27% came from Rainbow Lake.
WASTEWATER
-
Staff
has been performing general/seasonal maintenance
at the wastewater treatment plan.

Staff
has been preparing equipment for snow removal

We
received 3.9 inches of rain this month
-
We
did have two sewerage spills in the month of
December --12/09 & 12/10 .. 35,000 gal., and
12/24 .. 6,000 gal.

Wastewater
Treatment: We treated an average of 765,000
gpd (consumed 327,706 gpd). Which means that
57% of the wastewater treated this month was
"wild water"

We
did exceed the plants design capacity on 9 days in
the month of December:

12/01 -- 1,391,000 gal.
