Streets:

Staff
maintained flower hanging pots on the square

Staff has
repaired a number of street lights

Staff worked
with Frederick County Paving to resurface the streets
in Emmit Gardens

Staff
worked with S&W Construction to repair the
sidewalk at 130 West Main St.

cleaned East & West Main Streets
Water:
-
Rainbow Lake
is now about 19" below the spillway (down from
8" last month) and all wells are starting to
slowly drop
-
The roughing
filters are now being backwashed twice per day
and the DE filters are being done once per week
-
A new
transducer has been installed in Tank No. 1. We
have been running on Tank #2 with tank #1 controlling
flows the plant has been operating much smoother
Water
production and consumption. We produced and
purchased an average of 363,114 gpd. We consumed
an average of 301,252 gpd
-
The
difference is "Backwash Water" ...(17.0%). We purchased
735,300 gals.
of water from MSM this month.

Staff is
continuing to operate the overland flow treatment
system

We received
about 2.0 inches of precipitation this month (the

We treated
an average of 257,000 gpd (consumed 301,252 gpd)
which means that 0.0% of the wastewater treated this
month was "wild water".

We
experienced no spill of untreated sewerage
during the month of August

We did not exceed the plant's design capacity
during the month of August
